Our glasses are designed to be worn comfortably all day long without a problem. For best results, we recommend using them indoors under artificial lighting and especially while working on digital screens, watching TV or being target to the exposure of any type of digital screens, as this is when your eyes are most exposed to blue light.
Our blue light glasses block up to 99% of high-energy blue light (wavelengths between 400–495 nm) and green light (approximately 495–520 nm), mainly emitted by artificial lights. Exposure to these wavelengths in the evening heavily suppresses melatonin production, the hormone that signals your body it’s time to sleep. By blocking this light, the glasses help maintain your circadian rhythm, allowing your body to recognize natural sleep cues, fall asleep more easily, and enjoy a deeper, restorative sleep.

How do blue light glasses help with sleep?
Our blue light glasses block up to99% of high-energy blue light(wavelengths between400–495 nm) and green light (approximately495–520 nm), mainly emitted by artificial lights. Exposure to these wavelengths in the evening heavily suppresses melatonin production, the hormone that signals your body it’s time to sleep. By blocking this light, the glasses help maintain yourcircadian rhythm, allowing your body to recognize natural sleep cues, fall asleep more easily, and enjoy a deeper, restorative sleep.
What is the difference between the Day and the Night lenses?
The Day lenses are perfect to use during long work sessions or earlier during the day, due to their higher visual comfort and lower protection. They will boost your focus while eliminating fatigue, eye strain or headaches.
The Night lenses are perfect to achieve an optimal sleep and feel brand new the next morning. Their higher blocking % allows a higher production of melatonin and bigger decrease in cortisol levels. This blocking % is normally not necessary during the day.
A combination of both provides an optimal performance on your day to day, improving your health and energy levels.
What is the difference between Waves and other blue light blocking lenses?
Unlike other lenses, Waves uses a studied and proven optimal blue light blocking protection for sleep and for day use, not just some blocking percentage which sounds nice and sells.
Many other brands which claim to block blue light, in reality just use a coloured glass with no protection behind it.
Waves also provides the highest quality materials in the market, ensuring commodity and a life-lasting purchase.
Isn't the night mode of my device enough?
No. Night mode only blocks 10-20% of blue light, allowing a significant amount to reach your eyes.
Plus, blue light is also emitted from external sources like indoor lighting and other devices. Our lenses block an optimal 96-99% of all harmful blue light from your surroundings.
How long before bed should I put my glasses on?
We recommend the use of our night glasses from 1h before going to sleep. The earlier you wear them the easier it will be to fall asleep, so feel free to wear them 2-3h before bed.
An optimal use would be to wear the day glasses earlier during the day to prevent eyestrain, headaches and reduce cortisol with a lower tint, and change to the night glasses before bed time.
